Life in Asheville

When you drive through the welcome gates at The Biltmore Estate you feel like you are driving into a fairytale world. Each and every stone placed accordingly. The architecture is impeccable and the staff is courteous.

Living in the Mountains has been an adjustment, and packing is still far from finished. Weekends have been full of cleaning, unpacking and settling in. One thing we have made a point to do is explode our new home.

North Carolina is a state that has a lot to offer. The coast offers beautiful beaches and the mountains have picturesque sunsets. This state has something for everyone, and it’s all within a few hours.

Settling down in North Carolina is not something I expected when I pictured my life growing up, but I have come to love this state and can confidently say it feels like home.

One of our favorite spots to visit is The Biltmore Estate. We were gifted a yearly pass and have been almost every other week since we moved. The Estate offers something for everyone. The history and craftsmanship is something that is admired by all, but the farm and ice cream shop is something my boys can’t get enough of.

My oldest constantly asks if we can go to the castle, and if we can go to the farm and pet the rooster (yes a rooster that is kind enough that a toddler can pet him).

Overall it has quickly become a home away from home, and I can’t wait until our next adventure.
